Adventure Islands

If you are looking for an exciting and fun location for your next family travel, go for the Orlando Universal Adventure Islands theme park. This popular park has five islands to explore that feature beloved characters from film, television and even myth. No matter how old you are you can find plenty of attractions that range from tame to thrilling. In addition to all kinds of rides there are also great places to shop and dine.


The first island you may want to visit is called Marvel Super-Hero Island. This area of the park contains adrenaline pumping coasters and rides designed for thrill seeking teens and adults. Designed to resemble a city straight out of a comic book, this island features rides with names like The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man, the Incredible Hulk Coaster and Doctor Doom's Fearfall. You get to meet your favorite heroes from comic books and fulfill your desire for excitement.

If you are visiting the park with younger children, you can't miss Toon Lagoon. Rides include Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls, Popeye and Bluto Bilge Rat Barges and Me Ship, the Olive. If your kids don't care to get wet, check out Seuss Landing. On this island you can explore the whimsical world of Dr. Seuss, meet favorite characters and enjoy rides that are perfect for youngsters. One is the Caro-Seuss-el, a merry-go-round featuring beloved characters from classic Seuss books. This island is colorful and fun, made to delight kids and adults of all ages.

Two other islands at the Orlando Universal Adventure Islands park are Jurassic Park and The Lost Continent. Jurassic Park is based upon the Michael Crichton bestseller and blockbuster movie of the same name. Here you can take a ride on The Jurassic Park River Adventure and explore the Jurassic Park Discovery Center. The Lost Continent is home to rides like the Dueling Dragons coaster, Poseidon's Fury and the Eighth Voyage of Sinbad. As you can see, this park is a fantastic place to bring the whole family. When you get tired of the rides you can enjoy live shows and other attractions. No theme park enthusiast should leave out the Islands of Adventure from their itinerary.
