Butterfly Island Adventure

Are you looking for the perfect birthday present or vacation gift for a young girl, consider the My Little Pony Butterfly Island Adventure Playset. It is recommended for children between the ages of three and six years of age although even some adults collect My Little Pony merchandise, especially if they grew up in the eighties when these adorable ponies made their debut. In 1982 these little colorful ponies made of vinyl were introduced and took off in stores like wildfire. The original lineup consisted of only six ponies -- Blue Belle, Cotton Candy, Butterscotch, Minty, Snuzzle and Blossom.


These ponies featured colorful bodies, manes and tails and bore emblems on their hip. Since their introduction the Hasbro company has released various collections of ponies each year with different themes and accessories. Two examples include Earth Ponies and Rainbow Ponies. There are even My Little Pony unicorns and Pegasus ponies. If you began collecting these toys when they were first introduced and still do so today, then you probably have a warehouse or at least a large room full of nothing but My Little Pony. The Butterfly Adventure Playset is a new offering from Hasbro and has lots of great features. You get a butterfly shaped island on which the ponies can play (hence the name) as well as lots of fabulous accessories sure to keep your little girl entertained for hours. This set takes only two AA batteries which do not come included. You will receive a Pegasus pony named Honolu-Loo and depending on where you shop, three bonus ponies with the classic colorful manes and tails and hip tattoos. Accessories included are a clothing rack, road signs, palm tree, smoothie bar, various road signs, a sandcastle mold, pail, shovel, snorkel, flippers, a faux grass skirt and brush for grooming the ponies. All the pieces fit neatly in the back of the island mountain.

When shopping for the Hasbro My Little Pony Butterfly Island Adventure set you may find it hard to locate in stores. The Internet is a great resource if you are having trouble getting your hands on one of these sets, or any other Hasbro merchandise for that matter. As mentioned previously, Ebay is a leading provider of collectible items. Amazon is also a good place to shop because they carry this set and you can read reviews from other consumers.
